Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Tuesday hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. I must say my weekend was so amazing. I was able to spend time with my family and attend church to hear and amazing word. If you follow me on snap chat then you heard the extra word my pastor gave to me and my husband.

When i saw this suit at target i knew i had to get it. I waited too long at the time it came out but the thrift store to the rescue lol. I love thrifting and i have to say over time i have gotten very good and know where to go and what to find.

I have a tendency to match everything so when i realized i had the matching stockings i had to laugh at myself. The whole look was super cute and perfect. It was actually one of my work looks but also would use to go on an interview as well.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Tuesday. I hope everyone had a great weekend. My weekend was all about relaxation and really not doing anything except trying to clean up my house and sort through clean clothing. Now that spring time is here it is time to do spring cleaning. If you know me then you know i love to shop but lately i have been shopping my closet lately and it has been so much fun. The ideas and styling are endless and it gives me the chance to wear certain items more than once ( I know don’t judge me lol).

This flair metallic gold and black designed skirt i love as it gave me a vintage feel and vibe. I wanted to dress it down by wearing it with a denim button down shirt. I paired it with some black boots and my black motor jacket for the extra touch.

This skirt was so amazing and i can pair it in so many ways. I would wear it with a crop top and denim jacket with some flats or sandles to give it a different touch. Even wearing some converse would change it up as well. I hope you enjoy this look. Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone is doing well and getting started on their work week on the right foot.

I wanted to talk with you about nails yes nails. As ladies we often lime to keep up with the hottest trends. For me I love a simple manicure.

Whether it’s nude or bright colors.

One of my favorite polishes are by Sally Hansen.  I recently had the opportunity to try out their all in one manicure polish and I must say I love it.

According to this particular one it’s a base coat and polish in one. I have to say that it’s long lasting . Mines lasted a week before chipping.

If you add a good top coat every few days it can last longer in my experience.

The polish is usually seven dollars at your local drug store.

I love this blue number 550 blue my mind.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy thursday we are almost at the end of this work week and excited as well cause it has been a long and stressful one.

I wanted to bring back thrifted Thursdays where I showcase a thrifted item and show you how I style it. This grey sweater is so amazing it has a peplum touch to it and zipper detail along which makes it so sexy.

I paired it with a grey stonewash jean and boots. I wore my favorite moto jacket. If you want to add extra spark add vintage brooches. I have been so obessed with them they make the perfect look for any jacket.

Public Service Announcement

HI Fashionistas,

Today will not be your normal post hence the name of it but I feel I needed to get this off my chest.

I have been going back and forth about this for sometime now as I  wanted a right way to go about it without bashing or throwing shade as we like to say lol.

Blogging was a way for me to bring out my creative side and bring to you my love of fashion and all things that I enjoy and make me happy.

Now I will say the road is often difficult as there are bumps you may come across from time to time. What makes me upset is when people use this platform for negativity and bashing instead of uplifting and supporting one another. Which is what I thought this was about.

Never in my dreams would I have thought we as minority women would take the time out and bash one another or be negative especially when you should be thankful about the platform that you were blessed with.

Yes blessed with because success does not come overnight and just the way you work hard to get where you are it can all be taken away just like that.

Now I’m not hear to preach but just wanted to get the message out there cause my goal is to always uplift and inspire women and young girls especially of minority race.

Instead of being negative or spreading negativity. Think before speaking or doing because actions speak louder than words.

Review on Avon Perfectly Matte Lipstick

Hi Fashionistas,

This post is a little different from the normal fashion post. I wanted to take the time out and talk with you about some recent beauty products I have been testing out.

If you do not know I love makeup. A few years ago I would not have dare to try makeup as I refused and did not see the point.  Fast forward and im obessed.

One of my favorite products are lipsticks and I am a huge fan of matte lipsticks. So when I was sent these new Avon Matte lipsticks to try out I was thrilled.

Avon has been around for years and we mostly know it as the company that our mothers and grandmother’s order from. Over the recent years Avon has drawn attention to the younger consumers with their products.

What I love about Avon is that they are affordable so you are not breaking the bank. There were three different colors that I tried out. 

The first was called Adoring Love. This color is a bright pink color. The color was pretty but I personally did not think it suited my face.

The next color was wild cherry. This had the Burgendy undertones and it was actually my favorite color. I loved how it looked on me.

The last color was Red Supreme. I am a huge fan of red lipstick and this one did not disappoint as it is a deeper red that can be worn everyday basis.

These colors can be found on the avon website. There are 12 amazing colors in all and they are on sale for $6 which is a bargain.

I overall love the lipsticks as they stay on for a good amount of time and it does not leave your lips feeling dry.  So it is actually a moisture matte lipstick.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy thursday. We are closer to the weekend and I hope everyone has had a great week this far. The weather has been amazing this week. Looking forward to spring.

I wanted to share a look I wore when I was in Florida last month. The weather was not that great. I guess we brought new york Temps with us lol.

When going on vacation I try not to over pack as I know you really don’t wear half of what you pack. I loving olive color more and more and my wardrobe is having more of it in my closet.

I paired some boyfriend jeans with a striped shirt and oversize denim thrifted jacket. The fringe boots were the extra touch. This look was perfect for the double date I had with hubby and a good friend of mine from high school. I was comfortable and cute.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy tuesday. Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I was able to relax and have some fun this weekend which needed after the long stressful work week.

So lately I have been so into the diy Fashion and just looking in my closet instead of shopping all the time. Being a fashion blogger makes it hard at times. 

I had a pair of some old black timberland boots that I wanted to give a new look. So I decided to spray paint them a metallic copper color. If you follow me on snap chat then you seen the whole process.

I decided to style the boots with my favorite faux fur vest, denim button down shirt and detail sweater . It was a perfect casual look. If I switch the boots for some pumps it would dress it up.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy thursday.  We are almost at the end of the week and I can not wait as it has been a very hard and rough one for me. Enough of that let’s get into the look.

If you know me, you know I enjoy just being me and letting my creative side come out when I deciding on fits and looks.

The whole look was based on these red adidas shell top sneakers. When I saw them I knew they were my style. I’m a shoe lady but I got a soft spot for sneakers and flats.

I paired the sneakers with a bright red dress and wore a denim shirt under it. The best way to maximize your wardrobe is by adding different layers to dresses like this that are sleeveless.

I was on the fence about this look but I enjoyed it. It bought out the younger side of me lol. Hope you enjoy this look. Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Tuesday. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mines was very very busy. If you follow me on snap chat then you know all about it. Lets get to the fit. This Hipster sweatshirt has been in my closet for so long but i have never really wore it out. When deciding on this look, it was so last minute and i could not decide but it all came together in the end lol.

I paired it with some faux leather jogger pants that i scored from my local rainbows for only $7.00 and you know i live for a good steal and deal. I paired it with this camo jacket with faux fur collar that the hubs had purchased for me awhile back. The purple suede pumps was the added touch. This look can totally be casual by switching the shoes for sneakers or combat boots.

This look is perfect for date night or just having a nice girls night out. Hope you enjoy this look. Until next time.
