The weekend has came and gone in a blink of an eye but I wanted to give you a cute weekend look I did a few weeks back.

Living in nyc there is so much you can do just to enjoy. When I have those days I love to dress casual and comfortable but still look cute lol.

This whole look believe it not minus the leggings and accessories came from target. The dress and kimono was from a recent trip in the clearance section.

The slip on sequin shoes were from last year. Which they are my favorite. The whole look gave me the bohemian vibe but the tribal print of the kimono and dress is so cute.

Black is my go to when I can not decide what to wear.

Happy Monday. I hope everyone had a great  weekend and a great start to their week. I wanted to start something new on the blog called Motivational Mondays where it’s to help encourage us get through the day or week.

When I saw this quote I had to post it on my instagram because we in a society often worry about what people think about whether it’s what you are wearing or doing. I often have people say to me why you are doing this and that and in the past it use to bothered me.

Then I realized I rock to the beat of my own drum and love to stand out and be am individual not like everyone else. I’m ok with it. 

You should be ok with being yourself and doing what is best for you.

Just stay encouraged and keep doing you and enjoying your life.

Happy Friday we have made it through another crazy work week and the weekend is approaching us steady. I am ready for the weekend to be able to enjoy.

Who does not love to shop i know i do i can say i have a shopping habit at times work in progress lol but i love to catch a good sale and coupons are a must when it comes to getting that must have item for a fraction of the price.

Well did you know that Groupons the site we all love to purchase amazing items from also has coupons   https://www.groupon.com/coupons that you can use at your favorite stores such as macys, khols, target, barnes & noble, travelocity, orbitz just to name a few.

You can also use the site to get discount in regards to traveling as well, so this is helping you to save money as well getting what you are looking for at a great price.

You know i had to check it out for myself and i have to say i love it and this has been my go to for finding the best coupons and deals out there.

When searching these were the few sites i love that had current deals going on:

Happy Tuesday. Hope everyone had a great memorial weekend. As long as there was bbq involved I was there lol.

There are often times we come across people who will discouraged or put you down for no reason at all. You should not let that stop you from chasing your dreams and goals.

Do not let your sparkle dim. This sequin dress which I turned into a blouse was perfect. If you know me I live everything bling and sparkly.

I paired the top with some boyfriend jeans and faux leather jacket that you seen on another post. I added these glittery pumps to add extra spark to my look.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wednesday.  I hope everyone weekend was blessed and amazing.  If you follow me on snap chat then you know my weekend consisted of just being present and living in the moment. There are often times we forget about the simple things in life such as being with our family and friends especially when you are always busy and on the go.

For me that is my life at times so I dedicated the whole weekend spending time with my husband and family which is always a great time.

Now on to the look :). Gray is like the new black in many ways as it goes well with some many colors believe it or not. I paired one of my favorite midi skirts with this nice leopard print top that I purchased from h and m last year. Paired it with a cute suede moto jacket and leopard flats and the look was perfect.

I like to call it my working girl on the move look lol. I am always on the go.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Tuesday  and I hope everyone had a great weekend. Two weekends ago I was able to shoot with a fellow blmgirl in my group and it was so fun. We call it photo swapping because we all know at times it can be hard to afford a photographer or in my chances get my husband to take my photos all the time. So it was fun to have someone else Try a shot.

Let’s get to the look. This thrifted military jacket was on my thrift wish list for so long , so when I was able to purchase it from one of my favorite shops on instagram missrockwellracks I was too excited.

It was perfect and I added three broaches to the jacket to give it my extra touch. I paired it with some boyfriend jeans and a thrifted sweater and wore my sequin keds.

This look is perfect for the weekend to just enjoy and relax. The clutch was the extra touch. I’m such a fan of the show a different world so when I saw this clutch from kashmir I fell in love.

Hi Fashionistas,

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a great start to their work week. I received some amazing news for myself and I am so excited. It just goes to show that in God’s timing everything works it’s self out.

If you know me then you know I love a good maxi skirt they are so comfy and great to wear. They are my go to especially when running late lol.

This is one of my favorite maxi skirts as its colorful and has a fun print to it. I decided to being the skirt out by wearing a did color sweater and pairing it with a denim jacket.

I opted to wear booties which I’m currently obessed with and these sam edelman ones I adore especially for the print.

Can we talk about this cool background I found right in my neighborhood it was so perfect with my look. Although I’m a queens girl I rep the bronx lol.

A mother’s love

Happy saturday. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Mothers day is tomorrow and I wanted to share this special post about my favorite lady which is my mother.

Although mothers day is one day we should appreciate our mothers everyday . Even if it’s a mother figure,  friend, sister or cousin it does not matter.

Growing up my mom raised me as a single parent and I seen how hard she works and still till this day she is working hard to provide for her family. She has giving me so much that I know I could never repay her.

So I wrote this little note to her which I title a mother’s love.

A mother’s love

A mother love is something that you can understand at times.

You think what does it mean to love or does my mom really love me. If she loved me why is she always yelling at me. Why she always makes me do chores when I do not want to.

When I had that big exam you made me stay home for the weekend to study until I was confident in my work.

You are always there to provide me with the Guidance and support I need.
Showing me right from wrong even when I do not want to hear it.

You are a true example of showing how much hard work you have done in order to provide for your children.

Growing up with only you as a parent I did not understand why and felt I was missing out by not having a father in my life but you proved me wrong by being both mom and dad for me.

As a child I felt you never gave me a
break but as an adult I realize how much you scarfice for me to be where I am today.

I am happy that you pave the way for me to be who I am and allow me to make the choices and decisions for myself even if you did not agree.

For this I say I love you and I appreciate you. Happy mothers day.

I know the title your wondering the cold shoulder right lol. The cold shoulder trend is really trending strong and I wanted to try it out.

What better is way is with this crop off the shoulder shirt I scored at my local marshalls for 4 dollars can you believe. I love a good deal. I paired it with some cargo crop pants and some wedges.

I adored this look as you can wear this to go out on a date or a girls night out.

Live in Color

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Thursday. I hope everyone has had a great week so far. Sorry for being MIA but im back.  It has been a long week for me which makes it hard to post at times. I have been working hard to give some new and exciting content for you so stay tune.

This Tunic was another thrift find of minds at my local good will a few months ago. This blouse was only five dollars but what i love was the colors as they were the perfect mixture for spring, not to bright and not to dull lol.

I decided to pair the top with some color jeans and added a neutral sandal. This faux leather studded pale/blush pink jacket was a gift from my husband and added my favorite statement necklace gave the look the extra touch.
