Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Thursday and I am so happy because it is my birthday. I am thankful to see another year and im looking forward to be more amazing as i embrace another year of being older. I just wanted to share a cute look that i wore recently. I enjoy wearing bright colors and feel that they can be incorporated for the fall season. Orange has been that color and ive been wanting to try it out.

I paired this midi skirt i scored on clearance at my favorite store New York and Company. I love midi skirts especially ones that have pockets. I paired it with a light denim button down shirt and some turquoise boots.

I feel the bag and bold statement necklace added the extra pop to the outfit. I hope you enjoy the look and feel free to comment below. Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wednesday. Hope everyone is having a great week so far. I wanted to share with you my experience that I had recently. Almost two weeks ago I celebrated my two year wedding anniversary. Time has went so fast as I remember when I was planning and getting it together.

So my husband surprised me by taking me to the botanical Garden since I have never been there before. Yes I know this new yorker has not been there. The day we went it was pretty warm so it was perfect.

I love being able to look at all the amazing plants and flowers and learning about it. I was also able to see the Frida exhibit which I suggest everyone go see as it was worth it.

Since I knew I was going to be walking around I opted for a real casual look. I paired some boyfriend jeans with my altuzarra sweatshirt and micheal kors sneakers. I love these sneakers as the patent leather and frindge details are great. I wore my floral print motor jacket I scored from express awhile back on clearance.

The look was comfortable and one I would wear for running errands on traveling. Hope you enjoy the look. Until next time.

Essence Street Style

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wednesday I know this is a late post but I have been so busy with work that I really have not had time to blog. So my apologies.

Almost two weeks ago I attended the second annual essence street style event. Now I went last year so this was my second time and I overall enjoyed myself.

I feel it was more crowded this year than the previous year so it made it hard to sign up for the makeup and hair event by Shea mositure. There was also a mani service station as well as clothing and food vendors.

I was able to meet fashion stylist to the starts Shaun melson and she was amazing she complimented me on my purse so I was on cloud nine lol.

For my look I knew I wanted to be casual and but cute as well as comfortable. So I wore my two piece set from express with my glitter converse sneakers.

This was also my debut of my hair lol. I rarely wear my natural hair but I decided to and it brought the whole look together. I paired the look with a jean jacket.

If I wanted a more dressy look heels would change the entire look. I hope you enjoy this look. Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy friday. We finally made it towards the weekend and I know we are all happy. Especially if you had a long work week.

As you all may know by now I am a fashion blogger. When I started my blog I did not know how far it would go or take me. I started blogging as an outlet and to show off my great sense of fashion and style. I also believe in showing affordable style as well that everyone can relate to.

So when I saw this cute little shirt from my local rainbow store I knew I had to have it. Rainbow is the perfect store to shop for trendy items that are affordable and do not break the bank.

I paired this top with some ripped distressed jeans that I owned for many years. They are my most comfy and favorite pair of jeans. I wore some sneakers to make it casual.

The shirt was only 3 dollars on clearance which was a plus In my book and pockets. I hope you enjoyed the look . Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Tuesday hope everyone had an amazing weekend.  I spent mines relaxing,  cleaning and went out with the hubby. Was able to see straight outta Compton and oh my that movie was amazing. The acting was incredible . I enjoyed the movie and would see it again.

I wanted to share another look in my street style series. This beautiful chiffon dress with beading and sequin detail. I scored this number from my local goodwill store new with tags for only ten dollars.

What I love about the dress were the details and the color. The sizing waa not correct but I loved the oversized look for certain dresses I wear. I paired it with my diy jean duster and silver sneakers and Fedora. I loved the look as it was perfect for a casual night out.

Happy friday or T.G.I.F

I am happy the weekend is here and approaching as I’m ready to unwind from the work week. I have no plans for the weekend which is always good in my opinion. 

I told you I love midi skirts and you don’t always have to dress them up. For me I work in a semi corporate work place that allows us to wear certain things.

When I purchased this midi skirt from H & M I knew exactly what shoe and accessories to wear. I wanted the skirt to stand out, so I paired it with a white tshirt and crop jean jacket. The shoes were from khols and the jacket from sears.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Tuesday. Hope everyone had a great day. I was extremely busy at work hence the late posting. I’ve been dying to share this look with you all.

Recently I was in a blogger rut where I felt I was not expressing my full style potential. So sometimes you just gotta take a step back to think and figure it out in which is what I did.

Lately I’ve been doing alot of diy projects this vest is one of them.  This was actually a jean jacket I thrifted awhile back for about 9 dollars. I always wanted to have a brooch style vest.

So I actually owned a few broaches and purchased some at my local jewlery  store. Some of them are actually earrings that I used how unique right.

So once the vest was completed I was waiting to wear it with the right outfit. So I paired it with my neon midi skirt,  a tshirt and belted the vest which gave it an extra look.

I received so many compliments on my vest and I can not wait to wear it again. I hope you enjoy this look. Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy thursday. I hope everyone has been having a great week so far. I just wanted to share with you this look I wore a few weeks back to an event.

I had my eye on this dress from express for awhile when I first saw it but refused to pay the full price for it. So when I went back another time and realized it went on sale and I had a coupon. It was a must.

What I love about this dress is that it’s a versatile piece. Today I wore it with sandals and in the fall I can pair it with heels or boots by wearing tights and a blazer.

The print and fit was another reason that draws my attention more to it. The trumpet fit is always my go to for my body shape because it works so well.

I opted to wear flat sandals with the look. The sandals were from aldo which I caught on clearance as well.

For jewelery I wore a statement bracelet and decided to not wear a necklace so the print can stand out.

Hi Fashionistas,

T.G.I.F I’m so happy the work week is coming to an end as it has been very long for me lol. I have plans to do nothing hopefully but you never know as the weather is going to be amazing.

I purchased this gold maxi skirt from ny and company many months ago and finally got around to wearing it. I know very sad of me but I’m working on it.

I love the pleats in this skirt and it could also be worn with heels, sneakers, flats, sandals to change up the look. I paired it with a beaded shirt and military style denim jacket I had for so many years.

Happy Friday,

It is the end of the work week and I’m happy that we are getting some real decent weather now. As I can take more photos for the blog lol.

Although I love dressing up, dressing down is a go to for me at times. Wearing jeans does not have to be boring by pairing great accessories it adds the extra spark to an everyday look.

For me I took a denim on Denim by adding a colorful sweater and cute shoes. These shoes are from the c wonder store that recently closed down. It was a great store and to see it go out of business was sad.
