Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Sunday. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I have been on a long vacation so i have been enjoying myself and getting out as much as i can before going back to work.

My birthday recently passed earlier this month on the 8th and it was a great celebration. My husband planned a nice birthday dinner with some of my closet friends and family members. I have to say it was great as i had a great time being around great company.

Anyone who knows me knows i enjoy celebrating my birthday and i always say i celebrate for the whole month which is going to dinner, spa, movies and just overall enjoying myself.

I am very thankful for turning another year older and wiser which is 31 and this year has been great but i know im destined for more greatness as i take on another year :).

For my birthday dinner i wanted that whole sex and the city carrie bradshaw look with my own twist to it.

I had pyrchased this tulle skirt over the spring time from my girl jaylen from the chic pursuit. I love all my vintage clothes as they are great and unique affordable pieces.

I knew once i purchased the skirt i wanted to wear a cute t shirt with it. So i went searching for the perfect t shirt hence the holy chic. This shirt was from old Navy and it was one of their popular t shirts for this season as it sold out immediately but i was lucky to find one in my size. Right place at the right time lol.

The statement necklace came from target and my shoes were from an online boutique. The leather jacket which i love i purchased a few years ago for 20 dollars. The purse was a gift from my sweet hubby.

The best part for me with this look was i had everything in my closet so i did not have to run out and purchase something. I adored this look and it is one of my favorites. I will wear this skirt again maybe with some boots and a button down shirt. Hope you enjoy this look and thanks for checking in and stopping by :).

Hi Fashionistas,

As much as i love to dress up i feel my best dressing down. I realize i enjoy just wearing sneakers with  a simple outfit. Hence this look here. I love these faux leather leggings from kohls and the faux sleeve shirt was from j crew factory outlet. The motor jacket was from kohls as well. Nike sneakers are from kids foot locker. This was a great running around but still looking girly at the same time. Hope you enjoy. Till next time.

Anniversary Weekend

Hi Fashionistas,

I know it has been awhile but im here and back. I have been busy but now im on vacation so i have downtime lol.

My wedding anniversary was on September 14 of this year. I can not believe it has been one year. It felt just yesterday that i was walking down the isle.

Me and the hubby wanted to have a big vacation but due to time we decided a nice quite weekend in altantic city. We love altanic city as there is so much to do and we always have a good time.

We stayed at the Wyndham resort which was lovely it was a nice one bedroom suite with a kitchen and i love it. I will post pics of it below.

For dinner we went to this amazing soul food restaurant call kelsey and the food was the best i ever had in a long time and we listen to some great jazz music.
I wanted to look great so i wore this DKNY sequin dress i purchased from marshalls awhile back for 20 dollars i love sequins and this dress was perfect.  I paired it with my gold pumps from rachel roy and some acessories. Perfect. Hope you enjoy the look. Until next time. Stay blessed.

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone is doing well.  I am ok just been busy with work and my bday is tomorrow so i wanted to post a quick one for you.

Over the summer i had went to the outlet mall in my area and purchased a few things. One being this colorful striped dress from banana republic. Although it is short sleeve the material is thick for this fall weather.

I paired it with my boots from style icon june ambrose. I adore her fashion and overall style. These boots are comfortable and you can purchased them through HSN.

I wore my jean jacket that is my favorite as it was thrifted awhile ago only paying five dollars for it. So it has been my go to.

Happy Wednesday weather in nyc has been crazy from hot to cold to rain but thats mother nature for you.

I love simple outfits that you can throw on and go. For me a simple dress with a jacket or blazer does the trick.

This dress is by philosophy and i scored it for about $20 dollars at a local store called strawberry. I love the dress as it was so comfortable. I paired it with flats this time but you can also wear heels or boots.

I paired it with a tweed motor jacket from jcpenney and leggings and it was perfect. Hope you enjoy this look. Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Have you ever had an outfit that you felt was not work appropriate but you really wanted to wear it. For me sometimes that is the case but then i realize by adding certain pieces like a button down shirt or blazer or cardigan can change the look quickly.

I adore this strapless midi dress from HM as its perfect for any occasion. I really wanted to wear it to work because it was great. I paired it with a button down shirt and instead of heels i wore flats and it was perfect.

Hi Fashionistas,

Although it is fall it does not mean you have to let  go of the summer wardrobe. Most summer clothes can easily transition  into fall wear just by adding  existing pieces.

For me i have a little of everything  which is why its good for when i do outfits like the one  posted  below. I know  i say this all the time but i love animal print. I can admit im obessed but hey  it happens  to most of us lol.

I love this printed maxi which is really a dress but wearing it like that i didnt like it. So i paired it with a light denim chambray shirt that i purchased from macys years ago. Its by Jessica  Simpson. The maxi skirt i scored at a local warehouse in the city. My flats are by zara i scored last summer for only $20.

My tip with purchasing denim chambray  tops is to search your  local thrift store i found majority of mines through various thrift stores for half or even less than that.

Bright colors on a fall day

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wednesday. The weather has been up and down but what else  is new. Im trying to make up for the lack of post especially  since i have so many blog photos lol.

I actually been really good and have been really digging  into my closet and wearing outfits that are long overdue lol. So i havent purchased  anything  really new for now lol.

Just because its fall does not mean you have to stop wearing bright colors. I purchased  this colorful midi skirt  a long time ago and was waiting  for the right moment to wear it lol.

So a week ago i went on a date with  my hubby to see the movie no good deed and i must say it was ok. I was not impressed with the movie i felt it should of been on television just my thoughts.

I love the colors of the skirt  as it can be worn with heels and boots. This  time i paired ot with  some cute flats i purchased  over the summer for only $10 and they are super comfy.

The shirt is really a short sleeve cardigan i wore as a shirt which  is a great  way to get the most out of your wardrobe. I paired it  with  a denim jean jacket and accessories  and it was a great look. One of my favorites. Hope you enjoyed it and looked forward to your thoughts.

I always  have to thank  my hubby for bearing with  me and taking  my pics for me although i give him a hard time lol he still  works with  me.

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope  all is well with you and  you all had a great weekend.  Fall is finally here and i am too excited about it. Fall is my favorite  season especially since my bday is in October.

Two weeks ago it rained a little and it was cold. So it was the perfect time to pull out my boots. I love boots too.

I love this skirt from  sheinside offical is great.  Green is a great color for spring  and fall. The first time i paired it with a tshirt blazer and flats.

This time i paired  it with a button down shirt. I love this thrifted one from my local goodwill i scored awhile back and my tan over the knee boots was the perfect touch.

Vintage Jumpsuit

Hi Fashionistas,

We are almost at the home stretch at the end of the busy work week. I guess I’m more excited because today is my Friday as I am off from work on Thursday. 

I love vintage clothing especially items that are thrifted. I scored this vintage number from a boutique off of instagram for $10 which is a steal. I loved everything about it from the stone wash detail and everything. 

I paired it with a belt to cinch it in more and paired it with my wedge shoes and hat. I received so many compliments in this look which I adored.  What I love about this jumpsuit is you can wear it with sneakers or boots which I plan to do so look out for more of this.
