Hi Fashionistas,

Happy friday. Im so happy that the weekend is approaching.  I have so much that I have to do but im looking forward to hanging with my girls.

So for the last part of my chambray series I wanted to go out with a bang. You cant go wrong without some bling. I love this look cause it shows how to convert pieces to give multiple looks.

This light denim shirt is really a dress that I thrifted awhile back and I loved to wear as long shirt. I paired it with this mint sequin tank top from express and my sequin jeans. I love these jeans and have styled them a lot. They are my favorite jeans in my closet.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Until next time

Happy Wedensday Fashionistas,

Hope everyone haven’t a pleasant week so far. So this is my second part to my how to rock the chambray shirt but this time I opted for a dress. I love wearing these type of dresses as they are lightweight and comfortable.  You can wear them with heels, flats or sneakers and boots the options are endless.

This particular dress I scored from my local Jcpenney and it was by joe fresh and was on clearance but since I had coupons and etc I only paid $3 for it.

This dress was perfect as I was pressed for time for work. I paired it with my accessories and wore my metallic oxfords and it was perfect.

How would you style your chambray dress would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy monday. Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Spent mines with my husband which is great. I was able to see think like a man 2 which was hillarious.  A must see.

Chambray has been the hottest trend this season but I personal feel it will and has always been on trend.  I love chambray shirts and I own a few.

This week on the blog I am going to style a few different peices revolving the chambray look.

I purchased this button down last year from marshalls and what I like is that it is a two tone color. Light peach mixed with dark blue. I paired it with my maxi skirt from old navy and my Cynthia Rowley loafers also from Marshall.  The statement necklace was from new york and company.  The bag was from a store in Washington heights in NYC.

This was one of my go to looks for work as its dressy casual in my opinion. Hope you enjoy this look

Printed Maxi

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope all is well.  If you are not familiar with me already or just started reading thank you. If anyone knows me knows I love maxi skirts and recently I was on the hunt for a patchwork style maxi skirt. I ran into a site called kamishade who clothes are amazing and they had the maxi skirt I was looking for at an affordable price. The skirt was a little long in length which is great for the tall girl who wants to wear maxi skirts.

I paired mine with a simple white tee shirt and denim sneaker wedges from steve madden. My denim jacket is from the gap. Hat from local store. Jewelry from ebay.  I loved this look and received a lot of compliments.  Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wedensday.  Today is going to be a hot one so im going to try and keep cool the best way I can. I know your wondering about the title of my new post. Now I have stated how much I love midi skirts as I feel they are classic and look great dressed up or down.

I recently purchased this midi skirt from my local H & M and when I first saw it was love at first site lol. I kove the material and design so I purchased right away.  It does come with a matching crop top but I love the skirt on its own.

I paired it with my red peplum top from express from last summer and had it tucked in. I wore it with my studded flats and wore bright yellow jewlery to bring out that part of the skirt.

One of my young ladies I talk with in my neighborhood called my skirt grandma skirt and I laughed. I told her its because she is young but this is a fashion. Hence where the title come from.

It also made me realized that I do not care to be like everyone else and im enjoying the changes I see in my overall style. I received many compliments on this outfit and I look forward to wearing this skirt again. I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I did. Until next time.

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Sorry for the lack of post as my work life has been really busy. Im back and better than ever lol.

Im obsessed with midi skirts and I like to wear them and style them different ways as possible.  On this particular spring day, I decided to wear it with my chucks. I love kicks as well as shoes cause im a girly girl.

This was another skirt I purchased from sheinside official and I paired it with a plaid button down shirt and denim jacket. It was a little chilly so I wore some leggings with it.

Who knew pink and purple went well together and pink is starting to grow on me as more of that color is in my closet.

Hope you enjoy this look and look forward to see more postings from me :).

Workout Gear

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I know by the post title you are all thinking workout gear but yup its correct.  Now we  all hate to workout but I try as best as I can. When I saw these printed work out pants from marshalls I had to have them. They are by Cynthia Rowley and they are great.

When I saw them I said how can I style these and use them more for just working out at the gym. I decided to keep the focal point on the pants and wear basic solid colors so this black top from old navy and blazer from Jessica Simpson went perfect.  I paired it with my studded loafers from target and statement necklace from forever21.  It was a great work look.

I hope this inspires you to think outside of the box and dont limit yourself when it comes to clothing.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wedensday.  The weather in NYC has been amazing so im finally getting to wear clothes I really want without having to layer up.

I love suits but I love creating them out of my closet and this look was by accident lol. I realize the best looks come together easily when not planned.

I wore this look back on mothers day. I love these cobalt blue jogger pants from ny and company.  They are very light weight and comfy. I paired it with a simple black shirt and motor jacket I own years ago from forever21.  The shoes were floral print flats from Jcpenny.

The whole look was cute and casual which I love for the weekends. I hope you enjoy this look.

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Mines was very busy but I loved it. Lately I’ve been into the color blue different shades from dark to light. If anyone knows me knows purple is usually my color so to step out of the box is a plus for me lol.

Usually when it comes to outfit planning I think the night before or it usually just comes to me. I always like the denim on denim look but I like my own spin to it.

I paired my light blue skinny jeans from express and stonewash button up from the gap. Im obsessed with denim button up shirts because you can styled them in so many ways. It adds the extra pop you need in an outfit.

For work I paired it with a floral blazer and this cute denim shoes from zara. This was my perfect look for work. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
