Hi Fashionistas,

Have you ever had an outfit that you felt was not work appropriate but you really wanted to wear it. For me sometimes that is the case but then i realize by adding certain pieces like a button down shirt or blazer or cardigan can change the look quickly.

I adore this strapless midi dress from HM as its perfect for any occasion. I really wanted to wear it to work because it was great. I paired it with a button down shirt and instead of heels i wore flats and it was perfect.

Do you tend to transition clothing from day to night love to hear your thoughts

Leopard and some Denim

Hi Fashionistas,

Although it is fall it does not mean you have to let  go of the summer wardrobe. Most summer clothes can easily transition  into fall wear just by adding  existing pieces.

For me i have a little of everything  which is why its good for when i do outfits like the one  posted  below. I know  i say this all the time but i love animal print. I can admit im obessed but hey  it happens  to most of us lol.

I love this printed maxi which is really a dress but wearing it like that i didnt like it. So i paired it with a light denim chambray shirt that i purchased from macys years ago. Its by Jessica  Simpson. The maxi skirt i scored at a local warehouse in the city. My flats are by zara i scored last summer for only $20.

My tip with purchasing denim chambray  tops is to search your  local thrift store i found majority of mines through various thrift stores for half or even less than that.

Bright colors on a fall day

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wednesday. The weather has been up and down but what else  is new. Im trying to make up for the lack of post especially  since i have so many blog photos lol.

I actually been really good and have been really digging  into my closet and wearing outfits that are long overdue lol. So i havent purchased  anything  really new for now lol.

Just because its fall does not mean you have to stop wearing bright colors. I purchased  this colorful midi skirt  a long time ago and was waiting  for the right moment to wear it lol.

So a week ago i went on a date with  my hubby to see the movie no good deed and i must say it was ok. I was not impressed with the movie i felt it should of been on television just my thoughts.

I love the colors of the skirt  as it can be worn with heels and boots. This  time i paired ot with  some cute flats i purchased  over the summer for only $10 and they are super comfy.

The shirt is really a short sleeve cardigan i wore as a shirt which  is a great  way to get the most out of your wardrobe. I paired it  with  a denim jean jacket and accessories  and it was a great look. One of my favorites. Hope you enjoyed it and looked forward to your thoughts.

I always  have to thank  my hubby for bearing with  me and taking  my pics for me although i give him a hard time lol he still  works with  me.

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope  all is well with you and  you all had a great weekend.  Fall is finally here and i am too excited about it. Fall is my favorite  season especially since my bday is in October.

Two weeks ago it rained a little and it was cold. So it was the perfect time to pull out my boots. I love boots too.

I love this skirt from  sheinside offical is great.  Green is a great color for spring  and fall. The first time i paired it with a tshirt blazer and flats.

This time i paired  it with a button down shirt. I love this thrifted one from my local goodwill i scored awhile back and my tan over the knee boots was the perfect touch.

Vintage Jumpsuit

Hi Fashionistas,

We are almost at the home stretch at the end of the busy work week. I guess I’m more excited because today is my Friday as I am off from work on Thursday. 

I love vintage clothing especially items that are thrifted. I scored this vintage number from a boutique off of instagram for $10 which is a steal. I loved everything about it from the stone wash detail and everything. 

I paired it with a belt to cinch it in more and paired it with my wedge shoes and hat. I received so many compliments in this look which I adored.  What I love about this jumpsuit is you can wear it with sneakers or boots which I plan to do so look out for more of this.

Hi Fashionistas,

Happy Wednesday were halfway through the week and I’m looking forward to this weekend as it is my wedding anniversary weekend. I will talk more about that in another post. 

Now we know everyone says you are not suppose to wear white after labor day but I don’t follow rules. I love to dress how I feel. In this case wearing white lol.

I love this zip up sleeveless dress that was gifted to me by my husband awhile back. I wore it to a party this past weekend.  Instead of dressing it up I decided to pair my sneakers with it which I loved hence the purple.

It was very cute and I was complemented alot. So do you stick with rules or like to do your own thing. Love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Fashionistas,

I know I said it before about how much I adore maxi skirts as I own a lot lol. This is actually one of my favorite ones I own cause it can be worn all year round literally.

I paired the skirt with a simple black tee shirt and paired a cute statement necklace along with my fedora hat and studded sandals.

I also wore this look last year with a leather jacket which I will post at the end. So this is one of my closet remixes and I think I love this look the most.  Which look do you prefer I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent mine with friends and I was able to attend the essence block party fest. It was an overall great experience especially for those that can not get to attend the major events for fashion week.  I will talk about fashion week in another post.

I love the kimono trend because it can make any outfit go from blah to great with a little boost. I purchased this floral kimon from my local rainbows store for about $16 which was very affordable. 

I love the floral and lace print together. I paired it with a peplum top and some skinny jeans.  Added this cute gap flats and accessories and it was a perfect casual work outfit for me.

Crazy Dress

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I spent it with family and friends bbq it up. We laughed and ate really good. I can’t believe we are in September where has summer gone. Although I’m a fall person. I can say for us new yorkers we really did not have a summer.

I have been told I own a lot of clothes to the point it appears I only wear things once or not at all. So I put myself on a mission to try and wear most of my items that have been sitting in my closet for awhile.

Hence this peter pilotto dress from target I purchased a few months back on clearance for about $20 which I was happy about. I loved everything about this dress.  From the print to the fit.

I actually wore this dress to church a few Sundays ago. I wore it with a bright neon yellow jacket which was not picture.  I wore my zara flats as I wanted the dress to stand out which it did.

Excuse the quality of the pics. I had my 15 year old brother take them for me. To winterize this dress you can wear it with a leather jacket and boots which I will do. So look out for this dress again on the blog. Hope everyone has a great week.

Colorful Pants

Hi Fashionistas,

Hope everyone doing well. Are you guys excited as I am about the three day weekend that is approaching us. I’m looking forward to some relaxation and just enjoying time with family and friends. 

Now I have been trying to shop my closet more and not spend much for new items since I have a few items I have not got to wear at all as of yet.

A few summers ago I purchased some jumpers where I loved them but then I hated them after a while.  I guess that’s what happens when your style changes.  So I was going to part with the items and donate them but then I came up with an idea of making them into harem style pants.

Which is the end result if what you are currently seeing now. I simply just folded the jumper since it has elastic and it was good to wear. I paired it with a tank and a chambray shirt which I’m obsessed with styling it with all my clothing items over dress and etc.

My rose gold nike sky hi dunks gave the outfit the extra kick to the outfit lol.  Hopefully you enjoy this look and look forward to your comments.
